We’re a coffee retailer and wholesaler – as well as a neighbourhood cafe. The staff at Gypsy Espresso make it a point to deliver not only the best coffee experience in Sydney but also the best customer service. At Gypsy Espresso, every customer is important to us: from our regulars to casuals. Each bag of coffee, and each cup is made to the highest standards – every time.

Gypsies are travellers by nature and coffee is the lingua franca of travellers. The journey from coffee bean to coffee cup is one of the world’s great journeys. The Gypsy Girl and our distinctive gypsy-inspired colour scheme of red and gold is our way of paying homage to the spirit of good travel and good coffee.

Gypsy Espresso offers its experience and knowledge in the crafting of fine coffee as a series of courses. Espresso training has been devised to give participants a detailed understanding of the coffee industry, its history, processes, skills and methods.READ MORE

THE TEAM

Gypsy Espresso was born when, in 2012, two passionate entrepreneurs collided. From this chance meeting came one of Sydney’s most innovative new roasters.

Mario Szucs

Director

Mario – a small town guy with big dreams, came to Sydney in ’97 and set out to make his mark. Through hard work, strong values and exceptional skill, this gypsy was running his own successful café by 2004.

Will Smallbone

Director

Will – an NZ national with coffee ingrained in his DNA, hit the ground running in Sydney with his first café in The Rocks. Will’s passion and expertise brought him to seek out a new challenge and a likeminded aficionado, which is when Gypsy Espresso began.
